Circulating microRNA from exosomes and TEPs
Pathology group, Stavanger University Hospital.
Tissue microRNA profiles (WP-1) from tumors sensitive to adjuvant chemotherapy will be compared with profiles from resistant tumors. Candidate microRNAs, revealed by analyses of primary tumors that correlate with treatment response will be analyzed in the total RNA isolated from exosomes and TEPs from the above-mentioned 125 high-risk patients in order to test whether these microRNAs can be used for treatment monitoring. Exploration of microRNA’s from TEPs has recently been published as being usable for diagnostics and prognosis in a range of cancer types, including breast cancer.
